QuASS - Quality Assurance

Research area

Internationalization of vocational training

Short description

The project idea stems from a systemic vision of quality in vocational training that is based on a development of standards of process/product that crosses and scans the entire training system in a transversal way starting from the training value chain, passing through the identification and implementation of organisational solutions for the quality management of processes and work procedures within training providers/ agencies, up to writing up a competence dictionary of the training needs analyst, the training course designer and the trainer.

On the basis of recent experience of work developed in other Leonardo da Vinci projects by most of the partnerships organisation, it has emerged that the following three fields constitute the fulcrum around which one constructs and determines the quality and efficacy of training interventions to provide:

  • young people with competences to favour their insertion into the labour market, as well as to set up entrepreneurial actions;
  • people working with the capacity to activate active learning processes to improve their competences and both individual and group performance;
  • people with the capacity to learn how to learn in the light of concepts and principles of lifelong learning, of European citizenship and mobility of extension of active working lives.

Aims

Objectives of project are the following:

  • develop quality indicators to evaluate vocational training opportunities in particular for staff working in SMEs
  • define shared Procedure models to evaluate the coherence and response of defined UC and the relative UFCs designed with respect to the competence gaps identified and with respect to the needs of the company to be competitive in the marketplace
  • identify the Guidelines to implement the procedure models defined
  • define mechanisms to gather feedback from the client system and interested parties.

In this light, this project proposal is for: people who will participate in training pathways, companies commissioning training courses, category associations and social parties and identifies analysts and project design staff working in Training Enterprises as potential users of the products created.
