Short description
Recent research has shown that young people with difficulties in the job market, such as learning difficulties or language problems, require special support during their education. SMEs often do not, however, have the resources and career training skills required to allow under-performing young people to successfully complete training. In order for companies to successfully meet this challenge and pay more attention to the training of relativity weak young people, they require support which allows them to use the resources available for training in the best possible way or to extend these resources, in order to use training to counteract the threat of personnel shortages.
Aims
The aim is to support companies in the training of young people facing difficulties in the job market. The impact of existing support for companies is investigated and appropriate support strategies are developed.
- Provide information and advice to companies about new und reclassified career paths, which meet both the company’s needs and those of young people for training.
- Information for potential training companies about current support available for training.
- Investigation of available support provision for companies regarding the training of young people facing employment difficulties. Writing, preparing and distribution of good practice examples for support from within and outside the companies. Descriptions of examples of good practice in terms of training.
- Development and distribution of strategies and help for companies and external service providers (e.g. external training management firms and educational providers) for implementation of target-group specific support associated with the training.
- Target-group-specific transfer and promotion of sustainability: development of guidelines on training practice and inclusion of page on “successful training of young people facing difficulties in the job market” in existing online site.
