Short description
The purpose of this project is to develop the quality in vocational and training systems, creating tools and approaches to answer to the identified needs and using ROI methodology as a way of evaluating the quality of e−learning courses.
Needs identification: SME’s low investment on lifelong learning; difficulty on coordinating working timetable with availability to vocational training courses; high level of job rotation; strong resistance towards e−learning; implementation of e−learning through top−down approach and the commitment of the enterprises decision makers.
The general aim of the pilot project is to promote the use of the new multimedia technologies and a guidance and counselling approach in order to improve the quality of learning by facilitating access to online resources and training services as well as tools to evaluate the quality and the return on investment of e−learning focused in SME’s from the trade and services sector.
Aims
Specific aims of the project:
Evaluation of the SME’s organizational requirements, quality criteria and attitudes towards distance learning;
Creation of Project Local Committees involving the end users in order to validate the project outputs;
Train training consultants on Performance Improvement Programme (e−learning quality and ROI methodology);
Benchmarking of e-learning course target to the trade sector, focused on the special needs of SME’s managers,
owners and other decision makers;
Develop products to support employers and training providers to implement sustainable e−learning solutions,
according to quality criteria and ROI methodology requirements;
Disseminate the e-learning methodology near SME’s through training consultants’ guidance and counselling using ROI as a quality measurement tool.
