In the light of fast developing processes VET-Systems in Europe are facing new challenges.
Practical competences need to be described in a way that is separate from national educational systems and explains practically relevant learning outcomes beyond formal certificates.
Overall objective of the AVE EXEMPLO project is to provide companies and employees with equally manageable methods for self-assessment and external assessment of the competences acquired in non-formal learning processes. More specifically, the project primarily aims at integrating experienced employees in life long learning processes by enabling them to self-organised learning. The second aim is to provide companies with a methodology for knowledge-transfer and to enhance the existing set of tools for the assessment of non-formally acquired competencies. Furthermore a sustainable use of the tools in companies by including intermediaries and decision-makers of vocational training and by winning them for implementation in standard operation is faced.
Main objective of the project is to exploit and implement the findings and products of the previous Leonardo da Vinci project EXEMPLO about the recognition of informally acquired competencies into a new geographical context and to combine them with a new media-approach.
In order to achieve this, multilateral partnerships were constructed. Enterprises incl. SMEs and their experienced employees are the main target group of the project. HR & training staffs, training consultants, social partners (Employers’ associations and trade unions) are the other target group.
