
This joint project is embedded within the BMBF (Ministry of Education and Research) programme “Learning regions: supporting networks”. It aims to develop and disseminate comprehensive and integrative models for the management of career and educational transitions.
The research will be concentrated on four transitional phases in a lifecycle:
As a component of the joint project, Forschungsinstitut Betriebliche Bildung (f-bb) is addressing issues concerning target-group orientated transitional management in an ageing society. The transition from work to retirement will be analysed in more detail. This can be divided into three phases:
Proven strategies from the “learning regions” (www.lernende-regionen.info) will be looked at which aim at supporting various target groups in dealing with the transitional phases listed.
The approaches found in this way will, in cooperation with the other participants, extensively analysed, and each of the success factors and transfer options will be worked out in detail. On the basis of this, models for regional transition management and strategies for lifelong learning will be developed and disseminated.
