New Skills for Women - (Re) Integration into the Labor Market

Short description

Women often face greater difficulties in returning to the labor market after a hiatus in their careers caused by e.g. maternity, illness or unemployment. The project New Skills for Women” aims to transfer innovative training methodologies to improve guidance and counseling, vocational and professional training for women in Europe to foster their occupational integration.

Within this context a consortium of seven partners from different countries (Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic and the Netherlands) develops eLearning modules to support women’s’ reintegration into the labor market: The eLearning modules shall impart knowledge and skills in ICT as well as basic knowledge of setting up an own business.

For the development of these learning modules the results and materials of the Project „adapta – qualification of women between career and family” are transferred.

Aims

The project aims at fostering the use of ICT and wishes to encourage women to use these tools to improve the quality of learning provide access to resources and services online and create the conditions for increasing skills and self‐esteem of women in situations of crisis and with difficulties in gaining access to a profession.

The developed materials shall be transferred to different countries, especially the countries of the project partners Portugal, Germany, Netherlands and Czech Republic.
