The mobility of companies and employees within the European single market requires transparency. The European Commission has therefore developed the “European Qualifications Framework” (EQF) to allow comparison of differing national qualifications and a points system for the evaluation and recognition of educational achievement acquired elsewhere in Europe, the “European Credit (Transfer) System for Vocational Education and Training”(ECVET).
f-bb investigates the implementation of these new instruments within Europe and looks at the possibilities for their use in Germany. It addresses the question of how the results of two-track training can be measured in accordance with international standards and how the quality of German vocational training can be clarified and improved by means of skills-orientated descriptions of learning outcomes. f-bb supports those involved in politics and occupational training in their work within the European educational area.
